PVP-I is the complex compound of PVP K30 and iodine, it has powerful bactericidal action to germ, virus, fungus, mold. It is stable, has no irritation and can dissolve in water completely.

Application

PVP-I has broad-spectrum microbion kill or repression. PVP-I liquid has no sharp aroma , no thrill and injure to skin mucous membrane and air tube, no secondary pollution and no drug resistance. It is easily diluted and used simply, and its behaviour is stable, so it is the most advanced environmental antiseptics nowadays. PVP-I has very good effect in the traumatic curing of body burn, cold injury, cut, abrasion and bruise, it is especially used for skin inflame and canker. Its thrill is little, comparing to iodine and alcohol, the painful feeling is much lighter, so it is easily accepted by people and has wide usage and exact effect, and it has replaced the skin mucous membrane antiseptic of alcohol, merbromin, iodine and gentian violet. Besides, when PVP-I becomes liquor, it dissolves in water gradually and releases liberation iodine to sterilize. The iodine of PVP-I is released gradually in surfactant, so the bactericidal action is long-lasting, thrill is weak and dyeing effect disappears, it overcomes the disadvantages easy sublimation, yellow dyeing and thrill of iodine tincture.
